FCPS and Bill Curran have refused to improve FCPS sports

Since FCPS and Bill Curran have refused to improve FCPS sports by not training all school coaches, by not making sure all weight room safety issues are addressed, by allowing some coaches to run wild with camps and their private business, by allowing some coaches to use their FCPS email addresses for their private money making business and by allowing preselection of teams before tryouts we will no longer deal with FCPS on any of the above issues.

Since they have not acted in good faith in order to fulfill the intent of the Memorandum of Understanding, FISS by FCPS lack of action will no longer be a part of this MOU.

It is a shame that FCPS does not care about what is best for student athletes.

We will post all issues and problems with the FCPS system on this web site and continue to do mass emails to those who have interest.

WHY DOES BILL CURRAN REFUSE TO DO HIS JOB?

Why does Bill Curran refuse to do his job? Is he not able? Is he just lazy? Or is he just part of the good old boys club?

I believe all of the above. 

  • To ensure a safe environment for students in FCPS weight rooms by draftng rules regarding the use of equipment and better supervision of the weight rooms and enforcement of these rules.
  • To provide an independent panel where parents and students can have their grievances addressed regarding participation in athletics and any complaints can be heard by an impartial person.
  • To ensure that any parent or student who files a complaint will not be retaliated against by any coach or staff member. Any coach who violates this policy will be held accountable.
  • To improve FCPS’s athletics by protecting the interests and safety of our student athletes.

    SAME OLD BS FROM BILL CURRAN

    The following is part of what Bill Curran has failed to do.

    Same old bull shit from a bull shit artist. 

  • To provide a safe, healthy and fair environment for FCPS students who participate in athletics.  
  • To ensure that all FCPS coaches receive the required training and abide by all VHSL and FCPS policies regarding athletics.
  • To eliminate conflicts of interest among coaches who receive compensation from their student athletes and require FCPS to enforce such rules.
  • To require coaches to communicate to student athletes specific criteria for their team selection and to ensure that no “pre-selection” of players occurs.
  • To enforce current policies that prohibit coaches from using FCPS property for personal commercial use and not permit any promotion of any personal business using FCPS resources.

    BILL CURRAN NEEDS TO RESIGN

    Since Bill Curran does not do his job, I suggest that he resigns so that FCPS can save his pay for other more important money problems.

     Any one can give out awards. Anyone can look the other way. Anyone can play favorites.

    FOIA REQUEST #6/5/8

       Mr.RegnierI am making the following FOIA requests:

    Please provide drop out data per school broken down by race for the last 5 years.

    Please provide SAT/ACT participation rates per school broken down by race for the last 5 years.

    Please provide IB/AP participation rates including enrollment and test data broken down per school and by race for the last 5 years.
    Please provide GT participation rates per school broken down by race for the past 5 years.

    Please provide Thomas Jefferson HS admission rates broken down by race for the last 5 years.

    Please provide a copy of the letter/report from Ralph Cooper/MSAOC that was furnished to the school board last month (referred to in The Washington Post today).
    I have seen these stats referenced in the annual report put out by MSAOC so this information should be readily available.

    Bill Curran allows Oakton HS to preselect their 2009 baseball team.

    No need to tryout for the 2009 Oakton HS baseball team. Team has been selected and Bill Curran does nothing.

    Have any students/players been selected for fall 08 teams?

    Are any students/players on fall 08 rosters?

    Have there been any tryouts for fall 08 teams?

    What about seven on seven passing drills by school teams?

    DOES BILL CURRAN GET A CUT FROM CORRUPT COACHES?

    Bill Curran is a rookie DSA and has a lot to learn. You can BS about this games, but the trash talk could have filled up the Lorton land fill. One more thing, the SOCO manager get loads of money by directing players to various camps and clinics run by his friends.

    Curran has not taken any action against these coaches who permitted this game to get out of hand and takes no action against the coaches who shake down students for money.

    Does he get a cut?
